A Very Special Maternity Photoshoot at Verona Park – The Pasek Family

This session was so close to my heart — not just because of how beautiful it was, but because it was for someone who’s been in my life for over 21 years. Anjelica is one of my best friends, and I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow through every season — from teenage years to motherhood — and now, preparing to welcome her second baby. Being able to capture this moment as she and Martin get ready to meet their baby girl was a true honor.

We had originally planned a beach shoot, hoping for that golden-hour glow by the water. But during the first week of June, New Jersey beaches were hit with health advisories due to elevated levels of enterococcus bacteria, which made the water unsafe. With that in mind, we made a last-minute change — and landed on Verona Park.

And honestly? It was a blessing in disguise. It was my first time shooting there, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect. The park was filled with charm — willow trees, little bridges, calm water, and lush greenery in every direction. We even ran into a wedding party taking photos, so it was clear we picked a popular and scenic spot!

Anjelica was glowing — not just in the way every mama does, but with this calm confidence and joy that radiated through every shot. Watching her and Martin together with their son, full of excitement and love for their growing family, was such a gift to witness and document.

This wasn’t just another shoot for me — it was a milestone in a lifelong friendship, and a memory I’ll always cherish. I’m so lucky to do what I love for the people I love.
